GOLFERS CONCLUDE PRIMM TOURNAMENT

The USCB men’s and women’s golf tournament concluded their trek to the desert finishing the Spring Break Tournament in Primm, NV on Tuesday. Playing in what Head Coach Shane LeBaron called “the most difficult, extreme conditions” he has ever seen at a golf tournament, the Sand Sharks faced horizontal sleet, snow, rain, constant 40 mph winds and a wind chill factor in the 20’s, as the Sand Sharks competed against many of the top NAIA teams in the country.

MEN'S AND WOMEN'S GOLF WRAP UP OPENING ROUNDS AT PRIM

PRIM, Nev.- The USCB Men's Golf team shot an opening 36-holes of 300 and 298 and is currently in eighth place at the 2010 Spring Break Collegiate hosted by the California Baptist University Lancers. The USCB Women's golf team finished its opening round with a 323 and is currently in sixth place heading into the final round

USCB COMPLETES SERIES SWEEP

HARDEEVILLE, SC-The USCB baseball team completed a four game week-end series against Fisher College on Sunday by winning their second doubleheader in consecutive days against the visiting Falcons by scores of 7-4 and 11-8 at the Richard Gray Baseball Complex in Hardeeville. After holding a few highly competitive qualifying rounds the men’s and women’s travel squads for the California Baptist University, Spring Break Collegiate Tournament, being held at the prestigious Prim Valley Golf Club have been decided. The tournament will be held over USCB’s Spring Break, March 8-9th. Playing for the Lady Sand Sharks are Adrianna Saavedra, Kaitlin O’Sullivan, Kelli Nakano, Brittany Cheek, and Jenny Payne. On the Men’s team, Jon Pannone, George Thacker, Chris Lane, Travis Cashion, and Luke McClellan.

SCAD DEFEATS SAND SHARKS TWICE

SAVANNAH, GA-The USCB baseball team again found the second day of Sun Conference play tougher than the first, dropping a doubleheader at Savannah’s Grayson Stadium on Saturday to SCAD by scores of 10-0 and 12-2. After winning game one on Friday 8-1, the Sand Sharks lost their eye at the plate garnering only six hits in two games as their record dropped to 8-5 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
