SAVANNAH,GA-The USCB baseball team won the first game Friday of a big Sun Conference series against rival Savannah College of Art and Design as Sand Shark pitchers Adam Miller and Kyle McCullough combined for a three hitter as USCB won 8-1. The two teams will complete the three game series in a doubleheader starting at 11:00 am Saturday at Grayson Stadium in Savannah.
The Sand Sharks pounded out 13 hits as Larry Perry, David O’Neil, Brandon Cooksey, and Weldon Smith all had two hits apiece for USCB.
The victory gives the Sand Sharks a 8-3 record overall and 4-2 in Sun Conference play.
