DAYTONA BEACH, FL-The USCB men's golf team placed second at the Embry Riddle Invitational on Saturday and Sunday just sevenshots behind the winning team from Brevard. The Sand Sharks shot a 54 hole total of 898 in the 18 team field which included all of teams from the Sun Conference. The tournament was played at the 6764 yard par 72 Pelican Bay Country Club North in Daytona Beach.

George Thacker led the Sand Sharks with a 223 (72-74-77) total for a tie for sixth place individually. Teammate Luke McClellan fired rounds of 74-76-75 and Chris Lane shot 77-76-74 both for a 226 total tying them for 13th position. Jack Bingham was the next USCB scorer at 228 (77-76-75) while Jon Pannone was just a stroke back with scores of 75-80-74 for a 229 total. 

USCB will next be in action at the Camp Lejeune (NC) Tournament March 25-28.
