SAND SHARKS SPLIT WITH WEBBER

RYAN PHILPOTT FIRES FOUR HITTER TO WIN REGULAR SEASON FINALE FOR SAND SHARKS
BABSON PARK, FL-The USCB baseball team finished the their second regular season with a 38-11 record after splitting a doubleheader with Webber on Saturday and now await word on who they will play in the Sun Conference Tournament.

 Webber won the first game 7-1, but the Sand Sharks rallied to win game two 13-0 with an 18 hit attack and a masterful pitching performance by Ryan Philpott. Philpott pitched a complete game four hitter.
 
The Sand Sharks got the bats hot in game two as Spencer Jackson and Jeremy Webb both unloaded three run home runs. David O'Neil had four hits in the nightcap while Blake Sanders and Gabe Torres contributed three hits apiece. TJ Webb had a bases loaded single in the first inning of game two to start USCB out on the right foot. 

Webber's Chris Kirk stymied the Sand Sharks hitters in game one as USCB could only muster six hits. Spencer Cromer took the loss for USCB in the first game.
 
USCB stands at 19-7 in the Sun Conference and sits in second place behind Embry Riddle. The Sand Sharks will await word on other conference scores from this week-end to determine if a rained out date with Warner earlier in the season will need to be made up. The Sun Conference Tournament will be held May 9-12 in Ft. Myers, FL.
