MEYER SET FOR MARATHON RETURN

MARIAN, IN-USCB’s track runner, Marshall Meyer, will make a return appearance to the NAIA National Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Indiana Wesleyan University participating for the second year in a row in the marathon event. Meyer, a sophomore from Hilton Head , finished 18th a year ago and is ready to move up in the standings.
“Marshall is ready to go,” said Coach Larry Kimball early in the week. “He has been averaging over 100 miles a week in training for the past ten weeks and he has nailed practically every work-out.”
Meyer had two qualifying times for the event. He was sixth in 1:14:55 at the Jacksonville (FL) Half Marathon in December and won the Hilton Head Half Marathon in early February in 1:14:21.
