MT PLEASANT, SC-While school is out for the summer, members of the USCB golf team are continuing to play championship golf. Fresh off their fourth place NAIA National Championship, two team members, Chris Lane and Jon Pannone are playing in two of the country's top amateur tournaments this week-end.
Lane fired a four under par 68 on Wednesday and is currently tied for third in the Rice Planters Amateur being held at the Snee Farm Country Club in Mt. Pleasant. Lane got into the field of 80 after surviving a eight person play-off. The 72 hole event will conclude on Saturday.
 
At the Wannamoisett Country Club in Barrington, RI, Pannone shot a three over par 73 is tied for 47th place at the Northeast Amateur. The tournament will also end on Saturday.
