BLUFFTON, SC-USCB Athletic Director Ty Rietkovich announced today that Shane LeBaron will move from Head Men's Coach to Director of Golf. Also, current Women's Coach, Chris Cuneo will become the Men's Head Coach. A search will begin immediately for a new women's coach. 

In his new role, LeBaron will continue to work with both teams and assist both coaches in recruiting and day to day operations. He will also become the liaison between USCB and the local golf community and serve as co-chair of the USCB spring scholarship event and also direct and host an intercollegiate event. 

In making the announcement, Rietkovich said, “Shane will remain will continue to be a tremendous asset to USCB's outreach to the golf community. This move will enhance both programs and will allow Shane to utilize his talents ensuring that both programs remain competitive on the national level.” 

Both teams are expected to return their top five golfers for the 2010-11 season. The men's team will open their 2010 fall season on September 5th at the USC Aiken Tournament at Kiawah Island, SC while the women will begin their season the same date at the UNC Pembroke Tournament. 

The men's program finished fourth at the NAIA National Tournament this spring while the women were seventh in the same event.
