Men's golf wins The Sun Conference Championship

Plantation, FL-- The USCB men's golf team used a 9-under final round to win The Sun Conference championship this afternoon at the Plantation Preserve. The Sand Sharks found themselves in second, back 8 strokes, heading into the final round today. The strong play from the team, thanks in large part to Jack Faraci posting the low round score of 65 today, pushed the team past the leading Keiser University Seahawks to bring home the conference championship. The team will now set their sights on the NAIA National Tournament set for May 15-18 in Silvis, Illinois.

Following the tournament today Newport Laparojkit was named The Sun Conference Player of the Year, while he and teammate Keith Murphy were named to the TSC All-Conference team. Coach Danny Allen was also named TSC Coach of the Year.
